Rebecca Young, DVM
Dr. Young, received her B.S. in Biology and Behavioral Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. She graduated from Cornell University with her DVM. After graduation, Dr. Young completed an internship in equine reproduction at Equine Reproduction Concepts in Amissville, VA. There she learned how to manage stallions, mares and how to perform embryo transfer. She then practiced in a private mare and foal practice in Bridgewater, CT, before moving to Southwestern VA to open Cedar Run Veterinary Services in 2004.
Will, received degrees in Animal & Poultry Science and Agriculture Economics from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. After graduation, Will worked as the mare manager at Equine Reproduction Concepts in Amissville, VA. There he learned how to handle stallions and mares in the breeding environment. He then worked as a manager for Dan Hayden and John Nerud at Sugar Maple Farm. In this role he furthered his understanding of equine breeding management, equine selection and thoroughbred yearling sales. The opportunity to return to Blacksburg was impossible to resist and Will has worked for Cedar Run Veterinary Services since 2004.
